Frequently Asked Questions

Q. Will Surelock Ministorage provide a lock for the storage space and does anyone else have a key?
A. You can purchase good quality locks at Surelock Ministorage or bring your own. You are the only person that will have a key.

Q. Will you send me a monthly invoice?
A. Yes

Q. Am I renting the space month to month or am I on lease?
A. You pay from the day you move in. If you move in on the 10th of the month you pay til the 10th of the next month. A 10 day notice is required to move out.

Q. Will the Staff help me move in to my storage locker?
A. No our staff will not help you move into your locker. We do have carts and dollies to help you out.

Q. Will you accept packages for me if I can’t be there?
A. No, we do not have keys to your locker and will not accept the responsibility.

Q. My home insurance doe not cover storage, do you offer insurance?
A. No, we do not. We leave that to the insurance professionals.
Q. Is there a limit to how long I can store my goods?
A. No, as long as you pay your rent on time, there is no limit to how long you can store your goods.

Q. When and how often can I access my storage locker?
A. You can access your storage locker as often as you like between the hours of 7am — 9 pm daily. However unless you set up pre authorized payments you will need to stop by our office during business hours to pay your bills.

Q. How safe are my belongings?
A. We do our best to keep your belongings safe and secure. We have security cameras and a computer controlled gate access so that we can monitor all activity on the site. Our units are all fire sprinklered as a further precaution. You are still responsible for your belongings during your term with us and suggest you have adequate insurance coverage.

Q. When is my rent due?
A. Your rent is due monthly on the date that you begin renting . If you signed your rental agreement on the 10 of the month, your rent will be due on the 10th of every month.

Q. What happens if I don’t pay my rent on time?
A. Late fees will be incurred. In the worst case you may lose everything you have stored. We will explain these details when you rent with us. As long as you pay your rent on time you will not have to be concerned.

Q. Do you have heated and unheated units?
A. All our units are climate controlled with in floor radiant heat.

Q. What are your office hours?
A. Our office hours are 9am to 5pm seven days a week.

Q. Why won’t the gate open when I enter my code?
A. The first thing to think about is whether your account is past due. If you haven’t paid your rent the security system will automatically lock you out.

Q. Have you done anything to prevent moisture from entering the unit?
A. All floors are raised 3 inches at exterior doorways. Our roofs have ample overhangs to shed the rain. The roof water runs off into our aisles, which are designed to ensure the water runs away from the buildings.

Q. Is there power in the units?
A. No, for safety and security of all our customer, there are no power outlets in the units.

Q. What are the dimensions of the doors?
A. This will vary based on the size of the units. Our hall doors are 35 inches, exterior man doors are 42 inches and the overhead roll ups are 81 inches.

Q. What is the height of the ceiling?
A. The ceiling height is 10 feet.
